Kim Hofstede named NAIOP Minnesota president

Founders Properties Vice President Kim Hofstede recently started her term as president of NAIOP’s Minnesota chapter.

Hofstede leads the organization’s board of directors on strategic initiatives including work on public policy and education, as well as in representing Minnesota’s commercial real estate development industry. She will serve as president for the entire year.

Hofstede has served in a number of roles with NAIOP Minnesota, including vice president, treasurer/secretary and chair of the Developing Leaders Committee and University Challenge Committee. She has been a board member since 2013.

As vice president at Minnetonka-based Founders Properties LLC, Hofstede is responsible for her company’s transactional activities focusing on the disposition of assets and the creation and financing of development ventures.

Hofstede holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and finance, investments and banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is also a licensed real estate broker in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member.

NAIOP Minnesota is the state chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. The association provides advocacy, education and business opportunities to its members. It has about 18,000 members in North America.
