​Founders Properties, L.L.C announced today that Janet Ost was recognized as a 2019 Top Women in Finance honoree in Minnesota by Finance & Commerce. Ost, vice president of finance and administration at Founders, has been with the company for nearly 35 years and is responsible for business management and reporting of the various entities managed by Founders Properties.

“Since her early days at Founders, Janet has been an integral part of our team,” said Wade Lau, president and CEO. “From the way she leads her team, to her interaction with clients, Janet embodies the qualities of a strong leader and helps ensure this company is run efficiently and smoothly.”

Janet has served in a number of roles during her tenure at Founders. Having started out as a staff accountant with Opus, Ost worked her way through the ranks and was promoted to her current role in 2014. Over the years, she’s become a key member to the organization, leading a team of accountants, supporting deal flow, becoming the go-to resource for employees in a wide variety of areas, and implementing the company’s technology portal which enables investors, vendors and employees to access key data.

Ost holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from St. Cloud State University and is a certified public accountant. Ost also holds a real estate certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business and is affiliated with the Minnesota Society of CPAs.
