Bob joined the Founders’ Board of Directors in December 2022. Bob brings more than 35 years of real estate experience in acquisitions, portfolio management, and strategy. He was an Executive Managing Director of AEW’s North American Private Equity team and served on that firm’s Risk Management Committee until his retirement in December 2023. 

 

Bob previously led AEW’s Direct Investment Group's acquisitions and capital markets teams, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, underwriting, and closing investment opportunities for AEW’s core and value-added clients. His career with AEW spanned 34 years. Prior to that, he worked for the Kuwait Investment Office as an Investment Manager for its U.S. real estate and alternative investment portfolio. During his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition and structuring of over $25 billion of real estate transactions. 

 

Mr. Plumb is a graduate of Trinity College (B.A.) and Columbia University (M.S.). He was active in the senior leadership of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) during his career.
